About Texas Business Presence
This package gives the tools to establish an online business presence and create professional avenues of communication with your customers.
Why is this important? When you tell someone you own a business, they’re probably going to ask if you have a website they can visit. Plus, having a dedicated business email and phone line allows you to keep business and personal communications separate, which increases your business’s credibility and helps protect your privacy.
What can you do with your website?
- Make it easier for customers to find you and learn about your products and services
- Make sure that your business is searchable online
- Reach more customers in more locations
- Share your company’s history and vision
- Advertise and even sell your products and services
Why Get Your Website Through Lonestar Registered Agent?
What sets Texas Business Presence apart from web and phone services offered by our competitors?
Convenient management and billing
We make it easy to oversee and pay for your services by offering registered agent, web, phone, and filing services all in one place.
Zero-risk free trial
You’re free to cancel any or all of your services at any point of your 90-day trial. We won’t charge you a cent.
Low prices
At $28.80/month plus yearly domain renewal ($25+), our Business Presence Package is a steal. You may spend over $20/month for virtual phone service alone with one of our competitors (and you probably won’t get web service in the same place).
Privacy and security
We care about protecting your privacy and the privacy of your customers, so we’ll never sell your data to third parties. You own your domain name and the data on your website, and with SSL security, you can keep your customers’ data safe, too.
Complementary support from REAL people
A lot of the big-box web services companies out there make you pay to communicate with an actual person. We think that’s BS. You can call our web services team any time and get a real person on the line.
How Texas Business Presence Works
Wondering about how the process works? Here’s an overview.
Step 1: Sign Up
When you hire us for Registered Agent or Business Formation service, make sure the box for “Texas Business Presence” selected during checkout. This is Step 4 when you’re signing up for Registered Agent service and Step 6 when you’re signing up for Business Formation.
Step 2: Choose Your Domain
After completing your order, you’ll be directed to your online client account. Inside your account, you’ll be prompted to choose a domain name (web address, i.e., “www.MyBusinessNameHere.com”).
You don’t need to do this right away. For example, if you’re waiting to have your formation paperwork approved by the state, you may not want to choose a domain name until you’re sure that your business name has been accepted. You can sign back into your account any time during the 90 days after you sign up to choose your domain.
Step 3: Set Your Email Password
After selecting your domain name, you’ll be prompted to make a password for your business email. You can create up to 10 email addresses at your domain (for example, “admin@MyBusinessNameHere.com”).
Step 4: Our Web Services Team Will Contact You to Set Up Your Website
Within 1-2 business days, our web team will give you call to help you establish your website and assist you with any other questions you may have about your services. We’ll take you through the whole website setup process step-by-step, so don’t worry if you don’t have any tech experience. If you’re not ready to create your website when we call, you can call us back any time during business hours.
What You Need For Your Site
Since we’ll be creating your website, it’s a good idea to have the materials you’d like to showcase on your site prepared. This might include:
- Your mission statement
- Your company’s story or history
- A list of your products & services
- Any photos or other images you’d like on the site
- An idea of the colors you’d like to use on your site
Step 5: Experience Texas Business Presence Free for 90 days
Enjoy using Texas Business Presence cost-free for 90 days, and when your free trial is over, decide which services you’d like to keep (your domain name is free for a year—up to $25). If you retain all of the services, you’ll receive a 20% bundle discount.

Domain Name
A domain name is the string of letters you type into the search bar to go straight to a specific website. For example, our domain is “texasregisteredagents.com.” You may also hear a domain called a web address or a URL.
Why is it important to have your own domain?
You may see our competitors offering free websites, but to keep the website free, you have to use a domain that is tied to that company. These domains are often long, complicated, and difficult to remember—something along the lines of “competitorname.freesite245.com/yourbusinessname29384.”
Imagine telling a customer to find you at that domain. It’s hard to remember and doesn’t sound very professional.
Now imagine that you run a business called “Judie’s Antiques, LLC” and you get the domain “judiesantiques.com” or even “antiquesbyjudie.com.” Using one of these domains will make it easier for customers to remember and find your site. Plus, you’ll appear more professional, and your domain will fit with the rest of your business branding.
Why do domain prices vary?
Domain prices vary because they are set by the global non-profit company Internet Corporation for Assigned Name and Numbers (ICANN).
When typing in domains for other sites, you’ve probably noted that URLs have different endings, such as .com, .org, .net, .cat, and so on. These endings are called Top-Level Domains (TLDs).
ICANN limits the number of specialized TLDs like .cat or .shop, so specialized TLDs are typically more expensive.
On average, the price of domain renewal is $25, but it can cost more or less
What if you already have a domain—can you transfer your service?
If you already have a domain, you can transfer you domain name service to us. We’ll give you the same deal: free for year up to a $25 value. To transfer, your domain needs to have been registered for at least 60 days.
Website
Our service is perfect for business owners who want a website but aren’t sure how to create one and/or want to get online quickly.
What website tools do we provide?
You can create a polished, professional website in minutes. Our pre-built template includes a Homepage, About Us page, and Contact Us page, and our website builder allows you to adjust the website colors and add images and text. You don’t need coding experience or tech expertise to customize your site.
Can you get help building your site?
Yes. We provide step-by-step instructions for using your site, but you can also call our web services team at any time to help walk you through the process. We won’t hang up until your problem is resolved.
Plus, unlike some of our competitors, we don’t charge for consultations with our web services team—you’ll get expert assistance for free whenever you call.
Can you migrate your site to a different web host?
Yes. Because we use open-source software, you can change web hosts without losing your site. (Some of our competitors use proprietary software that can only be used when you host with them.)
SSL Security
You may never have heard of SSL security, but you’ve probably encountered a website that didn’t have it. Ever tried to access a site and gotten a message like “The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified” or “Your connection is not private”? That site didn’t have SSL security.
When you get one of those messages, you probably change your mind about visiting the site. Don’t drive your customers away by not having SSL security—make your site feel safe and secure
What is SSL security?
“SSL” stands for “Secure Sockets Layer,” and SSL security creates a layer of security around your site. SSL encryption protects data that is transmitted through your website, defending that data from hackers and anyone else who might try to steal it.
Why do you need SSL security?
First, customers may choose not to visit your site or do business with you after they receive one of those “not secure” messages. It can make your whole business look a little shady.
Sites without SSL security are often flagged by search engines like Google and not included in search results, making it nearly impossible to find your site.
Most importantly, not having SSL security puts you and your customer’s data at risk of being stolen. This is particularly true if you’re accepting payments through your site. With SSL security, it’s easier for hackers to access your customer’s financial information. Make sure your customers are protected.
Some business owners choose to use their personal email address for business communications, but it’s a lot more professional to use a email address that clearly belongs to your business. Plus, you’ll be able to keep your personal email address private.
Why do you need a professional email address?
A professional email address can lend you credibility. If your customers get an email from “caseys_gramgram54,” they may not know who is sending it and ignore your messages. On top of that, if you’re using a general domain like Gmail or Yahoo, your messages are more likely to end up in the spam folder.
Using an address that matches your domain, like “help@antiquesbyjudie.com,” ensures that your customers know who the message is coming from. Plus, using multiple email addresses at the same domain can keep your communications organized and make your company appear bigger or more established than it really is, especially when you’re first starting out.
Virtual Phone
Getting a separate business phone number used to be costly and inconvenient. You’d have to buy additional phone or set up another landline. With virtual phone service, it’s easy to use a separate phone number for your business cheaply and without having to purchase another device or enter a contract.
Why is it important to have a business phone number?
As with email, some business owners use their personal phone number for business calls. But this can get dicey.
What if you don’t realize that a customer is calling and you answer the phone in a unprofessional way? What if you don’t want to change your personal voicemail message or Caller ID to reflect your business? And do you really want your customers to know your personal number?
You can avoid all of this with a business line. You’ll appear more professional, keep your personal number private, and foster trust with your customers.
What is virtual phone service?
Virtual phone service uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology to transfer calls and text messages over the internet.
This means you don’t need to buy a new phone to have a dedicated business phone line with a local phone number.
You can access your virtual phone service through your existing cell phone using our US-based mobile app (we have both iOS and Android versions).
What do you get with our virtual phone service?
Our phone service has a number of excellent features:
- Get a number with a local Texas area code
- Forward calls to your personal phone or device (US number required)
- Make and receive unlimited calls and SMS text messages
- Have your company name show up when you call customers using personalized Outbound Caller ID
- Set up a professional voicemail greeting
- Access voicemail and messages using our iOS or Android app (download the app through the App Store or the Google Play store)
